             Clomendy - Welsh for `Pigeon House`

 This delightful and well maintained farmhouse which even has it's own well; is set back and between an Accountant's Office &  Anne's Halfway stores on Commercial Street, Old Cwmbran. Many of the stores now stand on land that once belonged to the farm.

 

 

 

Mrs. Jean Jones who lives in the farm told  me that the `first chip shop ` operated from there and the `fat fryer` brickwork base is still there in the outbuilding.
