In the middle of the photograph are John Nash (Woodwork teacher) and to his left Mr. William (Wilf). Just getting up from the ground, I think, is Mr. Lapham (Chemistry)

Jim Keach responds: Great old photos and good to be reminded of some of the guys I’d almost forgotten. I left Coed Eva School at the end of my fifth year in 1972, the year it closed as a secondary school. As I recall we didn’t have a “proper” sixth form. Some students left after the 5th and came back to rejoin the 5th form the following year, effectively making them 6th formers. Steve Groves I think was one as he is a year older than me. The top photo is a mixture of 3 different years, some of the guys I recognise such as Steve Groves “6th” Dai Morgan 5th (my year) and Kerry Watkins, Steak Jenkins Clive Jones, Tufty Brown and Russell Jones all 4th year. Could the second guy from the right be Dai Baber?

Thanks to Andrew Cruickshanks who supplied the photos. Our paths still occasionally cross at County Hall some 38 years later! (2009)
