Lance Price responds: I think the lad in the top row 4th from the left is Benjamin Kirk. I left Llanyrafon Junior in 1966 and went to Fairwater Junior.

Thank you for running the site. After discovering it the other day, I remembered I had an old photo of my Junior school circa 1971/2. I'm not sure which year exactly but we went to Croesyceiliog in 1973 so it had to be about then.
 
I have most of the names (not all) but it might be fun for people to see how many they get before looking at the list I can remember. I'm also very happy to stand corrected if I've made an error.

Circa 1968, some pupils of Llanyrafon Junior School 'starred' in a film presumably promoting the benefits of physical activity. Teacher Mr. Edwards co-coordinated the selection of the pupils and we trained for what seemed like ages until our gymnastic-type routine was perfected and then one day we were filmed from various angles including from the roof of the canteen. I think the film was commissioned by a Mr. Lewis who may have been something to do with the Monmouthshire Education board at the time ?? I wonder if the film ever made it into the finished article. The photo  was taken at the rear of Llanyrafon Junior School with Mr. Edwards standing.

This is a class photo taken circa 1966. I don't remember any of the boys, but I remember several of the girls. 1st from the left is Hilary Jones. 2nd from the left is Janet Tattersal. 3rd from the left Miriam Taylor, and 4th from the left is Dessera ? 2nd from the right is Isabel Dixon. Sheila (Wells) living in USA ,responds: I think I remember some of the boys!  1st on left, John Friend, 5th David Curry, 7th Paul Robbins, 10th Keith Ashman, 11th Wayne Gooding 12th David Hay.  The teacher is Mrs Tedstone.
