My names David Villars and my father Terry was born at No.1 Belle View Rd in 1934. His Grandmother, Harriet Davies lived at No. 3 and his two Aunties lived at No.5 (Dolly Jones) and No.7 (Carol Manning). His parents went on to run the `sweet shop` in Abbey Road, a few doors down from the `Howard` family (Keith, Graham, Brian, Alistair and their sister. He lived in Cwmbran until 1953and has visited Cwmbran on numerous occasions where cousins still live. His father, Granville, worked at the Whitehead Wire Works and then during the War at `Girlings`. Numerous members of the Villars family still live in Cwmbran. Thanks for an interesting site.
